can i do it ?

honestly me being vegan for 7 months now is something i never thought i could do. but becoming vegan has given me a strange satisifcation that i am more capable of things i thought were in my reach.

i dont really belive in "new year resolutions" but this new year has brought some attention to something i really want to try. which is a plant based diet! when i first heard of this i immediately thought was just strictly fruits and veggies. which alot of people do and that is totally healthy and fine. but come to learn plant based whole foods mean's CARBS! lots and lots of carbs which everyone i know avoids carbs, but from reading the book WHOLE by t. colin campbell and also reading ellen fisher's blog MANGO ISLAND MAMA i have come to learn two things carbohydrates do not make you fat. FAT makes you FAT. and over eating makes you FAT. if you eat what your body is telling you to eat, eat to your full not stuffed. and eat the right things like fruits, vegetables, rice, pasta, beans, vegan bread, lentils, etc then you will see results in your physical and mental health.

i know crazy to think right? that it is really that simple, but it is. so for 2016 i am going to prove to myself and peers that the pbwf is the best thing for your body. i started off with this dish to kick it off.

DIY SUSHI!!!!!

i used white rice, seaweed paper, tofu which is from soy so it is considered a plant based food, carrots, avocado. green onions, and some sauce for dipping.
