If I made a penny every time I heard "But I only eat fish" I would be pretty well off.
Everytime I hear that statement I think to myself does eating fish make it ok to not eat other animals like cows, pigs, and chickens?
Let me start off with a few facts you should know about fish!
1. Anatomically, physiologically, and biologically, the pain system in fish is virtually the same as in birds and mammals -According to Dr. Donald Broom, animal welfare advisor to the British government
2. Fish use their tongues and mouths as humans might use their hands—to catch or gather food, build nests, and even hide their offspring from danger
3. Fish have fully developed brains and nervous systems and very sensitive mouths
4. An Australian study found that when fish are chased, confined, or otherwise threatened, they react as humans do to stress: with increased heart and breathing rates and a burst of adrenalin

People have a misconception about fish because they can't hear them scream they assume that they don't feel pain. Which is 100% incorrect. Fish feel pain just like pigs, cows, dogs, cats, and chickens do.
The bigger picture about why we shouldn't be eating fish - I read these facts and I would like to share some of them with you. I will leave the link below with all the sources from the post are listed on the bottom.

We have contaminated the ocean with so many toxic chemicals, from fire suppressants to pesticides that are discharged into the ocean and picked up by the creatures that are there. So materials that get to the fish will of course get to us when we are eating them. Why would we ever consider that eating fish is ok? Or that eating fish justifies not eating other animals?

According to The New England Journal of Medicine, fish “are the main if not the only source of methyl mercury,” a substance that has been linked to cardiovascular disease, fetal brain damage, blindness, deafness, and problems with motor skills, language, and attention span.

If you admire dolphins, sea turtles, and exotic fish think about this please...
"Fishing nets intended for other marine species are killing at-risk species of dolphins and porpoises around the world, according to a report commissioned by the nonprofit World Wildlife Fund-U.S." -National Geographic
"Almost one thousand whales, dolphins, and porpoises die every day in nets and fishing gear," said Karen Baragona, of the WWF species-conservation program".
Even if you say you "just eat fish" but love and admire other marine animals. Know that for the fish on your dinner plate dolphins. whales, sea turtles, birds, and sharks are caught in the nets or some killed during the process.
