Over the weekend Joey and I went to the Loving Hut a restaurant that is known for amazing vegan cuisine. I couldn't agree more!!!!

When you first walk in you notice a small cozzy place with two older gentlemen waiting on tables and checking guest out. To the right of us there were flyers that had pictures of slaughter houses and what takes place at them with alternatives to dairy and meat on the back, on the walls there were pictures of celebrities that are vegan and vegertarian.

Once we were seated an older gentlemen came over to our table and asked us if it was our first time there, when we said yes he had the biggest smile on his face and recommended what was most popular on the menu, what it was made with, and that of course no animals were killed for this food. Joey ordered a BBQ sandwhich with fries and I had an America Panini with a side of postiacio mushroom soup and both were so freaking good!

When we were eating we couldn't get over the fact that people who say they care about animals, health, and environment eat animals. Why keep letting animals be slaughted? All for your packaged meat you get from the store that is packed with hormones, pesticides, and antiobotics. Studies have shown proof and statement that this happens to the meat humans eat but yet we still buy it ? Meat has been confirmed that is causes cancer and is stated to be the No. 2 killer in the United States after heart disease. We quit smoking cigarettes - why not quit eating meat?

"In fact, classifying processed meat as carcinogenic and red meat as probably carcinogenic to humans is not unexpected. Indeed, based on earlier scientific studies, including findings from the American Cancer Society's Cancer Prevention Study II, the American Cancer Society has recommended limiting consumption of red and processed meat specifically since 2002," she added.

Official U.S. government dietary guidelines also recommend limiting meat. "Moderate evidence suggests an association between the increased intake of processed meats (e.g., franks, sausage, and bacon) and increased risk of colorectal cancer and cardiovascular disease," they read.

Gardein and Beyond Meat are my favorite!

If you don't like meat alternatives stick with your grains, veggies, beans, and fruits :)

It is so simple and I think that is what Joey and I discussed the most over lunch. Is how simple it truly is to give up something that only causes pain and suffering to the animals. to our bodies, and the planet. Anything you want you can have Vegan ! There is vegan everything... literally. So many yummy dishes and foods out there. I promise not all Vegans just eat veggies which isnt bad if they do ? But... You can get your junk food crave in being vegan. Just open your minds and try new things you will NOT regret it :)
